Senator Hassan Tours Vaccination Site at Rockingham Mall in Salem

SALEM – Following Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen’s announcement of more than $30.6 million in additional vaccine funding coming to New Hampshire through COVID-19 relief bills that they worked to pass into law, Senator Hassan today toured a vaccination distribution site at The Mall at Rockingham Park. The Senator was joined by Perry Plummer, who is leading COVID-19 vaccine distribution efforts in New Hampshire; members of the Salem Fire Department; and members of the New Hampshire National Guard who are helping to run the vaccination site.

Senator Hassan Discusses Vaccination Efforts at Amoskeag Health

MANCHESTER – Yesterday, U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan discussed the American Rescue Plan’s major investments in supporting COVID-19 vaccination, testing, and treatment efforts during a tour of Amoskeag Health in Manchester. Senator Hassan and the NH Congressional Delegation announced last week that Amoskeag Health will receive $3.2 million through the American Rescue Plan.

Shaheen, Hassan Announce More Than $30.6 Million in Supplemental Vaccine Funding Heading to New Hampshire

(Washington, DC) – Today, U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) announced that New Hampshire will receive an additional $30,687,981 in vaccine administration grants from the December 2020 COVID-19 response package and the American Rescue Plan. These grants come following Shaheen’s successful push along with Senator Hassan to secure additional vaccine funding through the American Rescue Plan for small states like New Hampshire, to correct a flawed formula from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that previously shortchanged small states on critical federal funding for vaccines and testing.

Senator Hassan Joins in Introducing Bipartisan Bill to Strengthen Treatment and Recovery Services for Incarcerated Individuals

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan joined colleagues in introducing the bipartisan Residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment Act, which would expand access to important substance use disorder treatments in jails and prisons in New Hampshire and across the country, and help those exiting correctional facilities continue their treatment in the community. According to the most recent estimates in New Hampshire, more than 50 percent of inmates at New Hampshire Department of Corrections have been diagnosed with opioid use disorder.

Shaheen, Hassan, Colleagues Reintroduce Bipartisan Bill to Increase Domestic Supply Chain for PPE and Other Items Critical to National Security

(Washington, DC) – Today, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) led the bipartisan reintroduction of her legislation with Senators Mike Rounds (R-SD), Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Jerry Moran (R-KS) to require the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to increase the amount of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other national security related items it receives from American companies. NH Delegation Announces NH Community Health Centers to Receive More than $20.2 Million through American Rescue Plan to Expand COVID-19 Vaccinations

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Representatives Annie Kuster (NH-02) and Chris Pappas (NH-01) today announced that New Hampshire community health centers are being awarded $20,217,250 to expand access to COVID-19 vaccines. Specifically, the funding is being awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and will help Granite State community health centers increase COVID-19 vaccinations, as well as virus testing and treatment for the populations they serve. It will also help expand their operational capacities both during and after the pandemic. In total, the American Rescue Plan contains $15.05 billion to enhance, expand and bolster the distribution and administration of vaccines. In this first allotment, New Hampshire received $20,217,250.
