Granite Staters, Affordable Care Act open enrollment is underway!
The open enrollment period for the individual health insurance market begins November 1, 2017 and continues until December 15, 2017 – please note the open enrollment period time has been shortened this year compared to previous years. Coverage obtained on the Health Insurance Marketplace during open enrollment will be effective January 1, 2018.
The Affordable Care Act established the Health Insurance Marketplace to aid individuals in finding, comparing, and purchasing quality, affordable health insurance coverage. Granite Staters who have purchased health coverage through www.HealthCare.Gov in the past are encouraged to shop around and evaluate the coverage options available for 2018, as plans and costs may have changed.

For many Granite Staters, financial help is available. In past years, the majority of people purchasing private coverage on New Hampshire’s individual market qualified for financial help to lower their monthly premium costs.
