Senator Hassan Speaks Virtually with Third Grade Students at Bicentennial Elementary School in Nashua Who Are Learning About U.S. Government

NEW HAMPSHIRE – U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan met virtually with third grade students at Bicentennial Elementary School in Nashua to discuss what it is like to be a United States Senator and answer their questions.

Students had wide-ranging questions for the Senator, including why each state only has two Senators regardless of its size and Senator Hassan’s favorite part about being a Senator. The third grade students at Bicentennial Elementary School have been learning remotely since the beginning of the pandemic and are currently learning about U.S. government.

“It was great to speak with the third grade students at Bicentennial Elementary School about what it’s like to be a United State Senator and answer their thoughtful questions about U.S. government,” Senator Hassan said. “I know that going to school virtually has not always been easy – but these students have continued to stay focused and learn, and I am proud of them for keeping up with their studies during this challenging time.”
