Senator Hassan Statement on Lapse in Funding for NH Community Development Block Grant Programs

WASHINGTON - Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement on the announcement from the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) that funding is being suspended for several New Hampshire Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs:

"The Community Development Block Grant program funds critical projects for New Hampshire cities and towns, ranging from affordable housing and economic development projects to substance misuse treatment centers. It is unacceptable that Granite Staters will suffer because Washington Republicans continue to play partisan games with the budget process, and I will fight to ensure that the Community Development Block Grant program is adequately funded."
