Senator Hassan Statement on Mechanical Pipe Failure at Manchester VA Medical Center

WASHINGTON – Senator Maggie Hassan released the following statement on the mechanical pipe failure at the Manchester VA Medical Center early this morning:

“Our office is in touch with VA officials following the mechanical pipe failure at the Manchester VA Medical Center and we will continue to closely monitor the situation to ensure that the VA has an adequate plan in place to avoid disruptions in care for our veterans as cleanup efforts proceed. Moving forward, it is also critical that reviews of the medical center include thorough evaluations of the facilities to ensure that the safety and needs of veterans and staff are being met.”
