Senator Hassan Visits Siege Technologies, Highlights Importance of Robust Cybersecurity

MANCHESTER – Today, Senator Maggie Hassan visited Siege Technologies, an advanced research and development company that provides world-class technological and cybersecurity solutions to a diverse customer base. Senator Hassan is working to strengthen America’s cyber defenses through her role on the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC). She has introduced the bipartisan Hack Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Act, which would utilize the talents of ethical hackers to help identify unique and undiscovered vulnerabilities in the DHS networks and data systems – a program which has already found success at the Department of Defense and major tech companies.

“Siege Technologies exemplifies the hard-working, innovative spirit of New Hampshire, and it was a pleasure to learn more about their advanced cyber security technology,” Senator Hassan said. “In addition to continuing to provide support to entrepreneurs and innovators, we must also build on the effort of tech entrepreneurs like Siege by utilizing their best practices from the private sector to serve the cybersecurity needs of the public sector as well.”

“It was an honor to host Senator Hassan at Siege Technologies and discuss the importance of maintaining and strengthening our cyber defenses,” said Jason Syversen, CEO and Founder of Siege Technologies, a Nehemiah Security Company. “As we benefit from the convenience and of using technology in more parts of our lives, a strong cyber defense becomes ever more critical to the security of individuals, companies, and to our country. We are grateful to have Senator Hassan’s leadership in the U.S. Senate, where she has prioritized protecting the cybersecurity of all Granite Staters and Americans.”
