Senator Hassan Highlights NH’s Infrastructure Needs During Visit to Bunker Creek Bridge as Senate Negotiates Infrastructure Legislation

DURHAM – U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan visited the Bunker Creek Bridge Replacement Project today to highlight infrastructure needs across the state, and was joined by New Hampshire Department of Transportation (DOT) officials, including NH DOT Commissioner, Victoria Sheehan. Senator Hassan is a member of the bipartisan group of Senators who reached an agreement with the White House on a comprehensive infrastructure bill last week, and is continuing to work with her colleagues on both sides of the aisle to build support for the legislation.

CAPITO, HASSAN INTRODUCE BILL TO IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH CARE IN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) today introduced the Improving Mental Health Access from the Emergency Department Act, legislation to improve the way patients receive care for mental illness in emergency departments. The bipartisan bill would establish a competitive grant program for emergency departments to adopt more collaborative and connected mental health care models and deploy new technology to better connect patients with appropriate resources in their communities.
